Story about this item

This packet of Mrs Cullen’s Powders is stored in an old Benson & Hedges 10-cigarette packet. It is a reminder of an over-the-counter remedy for pain that was made in Dundalk and very popular in Ireland. This packet is from the ‘60s and cost two pence ha’penny. It was taken for all kinds of pain and anxiety and the packaging says it’s ‘believed to be the best headache remedy in the world. Solpa Extra with caffeine is probably the closest equivalent now!
