A pair of commemorative Milk Bottles made by Premier Dairies in Dublin. The first was created as part of the celebrations for Dublin’s Millennium in 1988. This was a time when many Dublin households still had milk delivered to their doorsteps early every morning. The bottle became a popular memorabilia item. The Italia ‘90 Milk Bottle was produced in 1990 to mark the Republic of Ireland’s qualification for the World Cup finals in Italy and included the names of all the players on the back. We remember well that Premiere Dairies used to deliver 6 pints of milk every day to our house in Dublin in a quiet electric milk float.
