Culture Night at the Museum

Join us on Culture Night when we will be showing ‘The Revel in Blue’ (72 mins) at 8.30pm. Featuring the life and work of Harry Clarke – the unique stained glass artist.

In 1923 Harry Clarke received a commission from the Bishop of Killaloe for a stained glass window for the new church in Cloughjordan.

In 1925 he unveiled the magnificent 5 light window showing the Ascension with five Irish Saints and Sts Michael and James.

The production is based on Lucy Costigan and Michael Cullen’s book ‘Strangest Genius’, shortlisted for the Best Irish Published Book in 2010.

The museums permanent exhibitions are open to visitors from 4 pm.

Our temporary exhibition ‘Post Office and Banking in Cloughjordan from 1880’ will also be open. This exhibition will be closing shortly so don’t miss this opportunity.

Admittance to the Museum is Free.
