The theme for second Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School programme is “Revival and Rebellion: Politics and the Arts – Ireland in Review”

The Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School will mark the 110th anniversary of the closure of this influential publication. Issue No. 1 of the Irish Review was dated March 1911 and the final issue No. 42 was dated Sept-Nov 1914. The Irish Review contained within its pages poems, stories and essays by some of the key figures of that era; from George Moore to James Stephens; W.B. Yeats to P.H. Pearse; Lord Dunsany to James Connolly; William Orpen to Jack B.Yeats.
