Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School – Creative Writing Workshop

The Hedge School kicks off with a Creative Writing Workshop facilitated by David McLoghlin on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 September from 11am – 1pm. David is a Dublin-born, Cork-based, prize-winning poet, a writer of creative nonfiction and an occasional literary translator.

The images and texts published in editions of The Irish Review in the Museum’s collection will serve as the inspiration for new writing.

The workshop is for adults, is free of charge and limited to 12 participants, who are asked to attend on both days. No prior writing experience required and everyone is welcome to attend. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion for all.  Comments from last year’s participants include: ‘I enjoyed every minute of it’ and it was  ‘an absolutely amazing experience’, so don’t be shy!
