Joseph MacDonagh’s Irish Revolution by Gerard Shannon

Gerard Shannon will be giving a lecture tonight on Joesph MacDonagh, Thomas MacDonagh’s younger brother, who died on Christmas day, 1922.

Joseph’s accomplishments in the Irish revolutionary movement deserve to be more widely celebrated. He played a number of roles including Sinn Féin activist, political prisoner, hunger striker, TD, councilor, Minister for Labour in the Dáil cabinet and newspaper propagandist.
